Renell is a Licensed Medical Technologist and ASCP-certified Medical Technologist with more than 30 years of experience in clinical laboratory medicine. Her expertise includes hematology, chemistry, coagulation, blood banking, laboratory management, laboratory information systems (Cerner, Soft, and Epic), middleware solutions, laboratory automation, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance. Throughout her career, she has held leadership roles as a Core Laboratory Supervisor, Blood Bank Supervisor, Interim Laboratory Manager, and Quality Assurance Supervisor, while developing policies and procedures that meet CAP, COLA, TJC, AABB, and CLIA standards. Renell is also an experienced educator and speaker, having presented seminars and workshops at four Abbott Hematology Symposiums in Los Angeles, Dallas, Chicago, and San Diego. Her presentations covered topics including laboratory challenges, the utility of informatics, the impact of middleware on result turnaround time and labor efficiency, and the principles and value of auto-verification. Throughout her career, she has been selected to attend specialized training on 11 different laboratory technologies and instrumentation platforms, leading the implementation, integration, and staff training for each new system. As a laboratory consultant, Renell helps laboratories prepare for inspections, resolve regulatory deficiencies, strengthen quality assurance programs, and train staff to maintain compliance and operational excellence. She also served as President and a Board Member of the New Orleans Society of Medical Technologists (NOSMT), bringing decades of technical expertise, leadership, and a passion for advancing quality laboratory practices to every client she serves
