Experience:Melissa obtained a Doctorate in Clinical Laboratory Science (DCLS) from UTMB. She has over 15 years of experience in the clinical laboratory with over 6 of those years in Laboratory Directorship/Management. She has helped labs of all sizes with compliance and regulatory oversight, and deficiency response and improvement. She has supported labs who are just starting up as well as labs already in operation in the areas of test validation, instrument selection, and mock inspection. Melissa is knowledgeable in all areas of the general laboratory as well as molecular and LDT validation, and she has worked with all regulatory bodies including CLIA, CAP and COLA.
